My husband, Jerry, and I live in the Tremont neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio. We both teach college level chemistry, and we love taking pictures around our neighborhood. We realized our passion for photograpy about 2 years ago when I purchased a camera to take photos for a food blog. Jerry was into black and white film photography, but he had been away from film photography for many years. He started reading up on BW film photography and decided to purchase a Pentax K1000. He has since upgraded to a Mamiya 645 medium format camera, and recently started developing his own black and white film.
I am still learning how to use my Nikon digital camera with all its bells and whistles. It has been quite a steep learning curve, but I am amazed at how much I have learned and continue to learn about photography. In the beginning, I had no idea what an aperture or ISO was let alone how to use them. I am fascinated with macro and closeup photography as well as HDR.
The intent of this web site is to display photos and offer and receive tips for those that love photography as much as we do whether it be digital or BW film. Most importantly is our ability to both capture and display those images that move us. Eventually we will create a forum so that we all can discuss our experiences with photography as well as post photos in the gallery. Most of the photos displayed on our site were taken in the Cleveland area.
